Beatriz Mencia-Oliva was born in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) Spain, in 1984. She received her MSc degree in Telecommunications engineering degree from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in October 2008. Since October 2007, she has been with the Microwave and Radar Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, and is currently working towards the PhD degree. Her research interests include the design of millimetre and submillimetre-wave radar systems.
