We experimentally assess the concept of multi-vendor programmable sliceable transceivers based on multicarrier modulation tailored for partially disaggregated optical metro networks. The OpenConfig vendor-neutral data model is envisioned for the implementation of the SDN agents. Transceiver advanced capabilities are enabled further exploiting network flexibility.
