Abstract
It is very important that food is prepared or cooked to the correct temperature. Too hot and it could burn. Too cold and it could cause food poisoning. The UK food standards agency estimates that there are between 500,000 and one million cases of food poisoning each year, with over 2,500 people being admitted to hospital.
This video is part of the IET Faraday's teaching resources developed in December 2015 as part of the BBC micro:bit programme and explores how we can effectively monitor our food to ensure it is kept at the correct temperature.
