Abstract
With the Women’s World Cup upon us and an upcoming Lunar mission scheduled for 2025, we’ve worked with a panel of experts to imagine what it would be like to play football on the Moon!
Our experts have predicted we could be playing up there as early as 2035, and they’ve even come up with new rules to adapt the game for the harsh lunar environment.
As part of the campaign we’ve tasked children with designing a football kit fit for the first Lunar football team, Moon United. The competition is open to 4 – 13 year olds until 15 September.
Our Moon United competition is part of our annual Engineer a Better World campaign which aims to challenge outdated perceptions of the engineering industry and encourage more children to be excited and inspired by a potential future career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
