About the session

DSP techniques that enhance the effective resolution of DACs are presented. An improved digital-resolution-enhancer algorithm is experimentally demonstrated which incorporates an optimized non-uniform quantization scheme. Improvement of up to 8dB is shown that enables 16QAM and 64QAM transmission using 2 and 3 bits DACs respectively.
