The Victoria Line is an intensive metro running through the heart of London. It is being completely renewed to increase capacity whilst remaining open to the public throughout. This presentation discusses: flexibility and give-and-take; detailed planning; keeping to commitments; innovation and delivery; lessons for other metro upgrades from the Victoria Line experience; and some ideas from the past, and some for the future.
