About the session

The 2016 Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference provides an opportunity to explore the key learnings from electricity and gas network innovation projects. The programme will provide unparalleled networking opportunities in addition to project focused presentations and workshops.

Co-hosted by Electricity North West and taking place at the iconic Manchester Central, the LCNI Conference will be held on 11-13 October 2016. The conference and exhibition will be the UK's must-attend electricity and gas network innovation event for 2016.

    Nortech Management Ltd

    Dr Samuel Jupe is the Network Innovation Manager for Nortech Management Limited - a company that specialises in monitoring and control systems. Over the past ten years, Samuel has been delivering innovation projects on behalf of UK DNOs, working with SP Energy Networks, Electricity North West, Western Power Distribution and UK Power Networks. Most notably, Samuel worked with Western Power Distribution to secure £17m funding for FlexDGrid and £13m for Network Equilibrium, both projects are demonstrating technological advances in UK power systems. Samuel was a member of the consortium that received the IET Innovation Award in 2010 for Active Control of Distributed Generation. He is a member of the IET, a Chartered Engineer, and is UK representative for CIGRE's Study Committee C6 (focusing on Distribution Systems and Dispersed Generation).
