    John Rogerson

    BP, Global Fuels Technology, Fuels Advisor

    John holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Leeds University and then worked as a rocket scientist for the Ministry of Defence in the UK. He began his career with BP in 1985 as a Combustion Technologist, working on combustion routes to Syngas, part of BP's gas to liquids programme. He then moved into transport fuels specializing in automotive emissions and the effect of fuels, then spent 3 enjoyable years working in the USA. Returning to the UK he became a team leader responsible for research and development on Emissions. He played a key role in the development of the differentiated and alternative fuels strategy and then led the technical implementation of BP Ultimate as a Product Development Manager. He is currently a Fuels Advisor with BP.
