This presentation looks at the history (so far) of the Low Carbon Networks Fund (LCNF). RIIO (Revenue = Incentives + Innovation + Outputs) is Ofgem’s regulatory framework for setting price controls for network companies. RIIO-ED1 (Electricity Distribution 1) is the first price control review to reflect this new framework. It will set the outputs that the 14 UK electricity distribution network operators (DNOs) need to deliver for their consumers and the associated revenues they are allowed to collect for the eight-year period from 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2023.
