Barrie Cressey is Business Development Director for Smart Grids in Schneider Electric. Barrie is a qualified Electrical and Electronic Engineer and has previously held a number of senior positions in Business Development, Sales and Marketing for leading information technology companies, including Serck Controls, Atos Origin, Schlumberger and SEMA. Throughout his career, Barrie has focused on the use of asset based information to aid decision making and create a consistent view of the operational environment. This has included the provision of information systems that have added business value to leading Water, Electricity and Gas utilities throughout the World. Today, Barrie focuses on the creation of tools that enable utility companies to make fast decisions in an ever changing, dynamic operational environment, driven by the often diverse needs of their stakeholders; from customers, through investors to regulators.
