About the session

This talk will present a review of ITU-T X.509, enabling standard for the Public Key Infrastructure, how to respond to Quantum threats and what steps and elements are needed to migrate X.509 to PQC. In addition, it will also provide how to migrate ITU-X.509 to Post Quantum Cryptography including various possibilities: Mixed PQ PKI, X.509 composite/hybrid PKI and multiple PKIs as well as the Republic of Korea’s master plan for migration to post-quantum cryptography. The talk will emphasize the need for collaboration among the related SDOs to achieve the grand goal for the migration.
