    David Cutts

    Managing Director and co-founder, Strategy and TechnologyDavid is also a Director of Synapse TV and VuTV, S and T's Joint Ventures with Simplestream. He holds a degree in Physics from Bristol University and an MBA from Manchester Business School. He has been involved with digital TV since the days of MAC working with BSB amongst others. As a consultant he was closely involved with the development of digital TV in the early 1990s, working for some years on Pay-TV technology including leading DVB's effort both on CA architecture and on the DVB Common Interface. He was a member of the DVB Steering Board for a number of years up until 2002. He co-founded Strategy and Technology in 1996, focusing the company on the creation and implementation of public standards. The company focuses on the deployment of MHEG in the UK and around the world and on the delivery and monitoring of interactive services in the US cable industry. He chaired the DTG group that specified the MHEG Interaction Channel and has been a member of the Council of the DTG since 2000. He worked with Simplestream to form Synapse in 2012 and VuTV, a pay-TV platform that brings content to Freeview over the Internet in 2013.He lives with his family in Highbury, North London and has hobbies that include high handicap golf, viola playing and orchestral conducting.
