Inspiring tomorrow's engineers

With the perception that many jobs in engineering and technology are ripe for outsourcing, it is unsurprising that young people may feel there is little point following the rigorous academic subjects required to secure rewarding employment in these fields. On the other hand careers founded on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects are mobile and exciting careers are available across the planet with those from these disciplines. The west currently benefits from greater experience over those of the emerging nations and the reality is that global teams are solving our planet’s greatest challenges. Politicians care most about 'local conditions', but business and scientific research operate globally.
