About the session

What really inspires innovation? Is it large-scale, high-profile projects like Bloodhound SSC, or is it more innate? This presentation explores what drives us to be a more innovative society in the areas of education, sustainability and engineering. It also discusses how research enables fiction to become reality; how new engineering disciplines such as robotics, biomedical and green create a more innovative and compassionate society; and how we are inspiring the next generation of problem solvers to hone their innovation skills. The presentation includes an interactive discussion to explore the true nature of innovation.
