His expertise has also seen David become a central figure in the UK public sectors move to mandate BIM usage for Government projects.David’s expertise in BIM has seen him being seconded to the UK Cabinet Office in 2011 as Head of BIM Implementation. David also Chairs the Scottish Government’s BIM Delivery Group and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Digital Working Group.“The Information Economy is transforming the way construction works. It is therefore essential that the industry can grasp this new wave of innovation, and understand what it can do to help the industry generate new value propositions’ says David.

    Delivery Director, UK BIM Task Group & Digital Built Britain.Set direction and manage the Task Group Support Officers, provide the link with Senior Departmental leads to focus on delivery of the April and October BIM stretch targets. Act as author for departmental reporting on behalf of the Cabinet Office and the Construction Client Board. As a member of the UK BIM Task Group Core Group, work to deliver and develop the aims of the Level 2 programme.

    Head of Digital Construction, Infrastructure Projects Authority, Cabinet OfficeAlex joined the Cabinet Office in summer 2016 as Head of Digital Construction. Working with departments on embedding BIM Level 2 and laying the ground work for further digital adoption across the public sector. Previously Alex was head of BIM implementation for Carillion and an active member of industry in the development of digital adoption as well as thought leadership in construction technology.
