Abstract
Alasdair is a widely experienced entrepreneur, technologist and business leader. Alasdair qualified as a Mechanical Engineer with an International Diploma in Advanced Aerospace Studies (ECATA). He started his career with BAE Systems working mainly on Harrier Jump-Jets before moving to Black & Decker where he led the definition of their global product development strategy. On the strength of these expertise Alasdair joined IBM as a technologist where he worked as a business consultant for 11 years leading teams in engagements across the breadth of manufacturing industry and in particular aerospace, defence, automotive and motor-racing (Formula1) industries. An interest in addressing the emerging challenges of complexity led him to he join the IBM software division, which extended his experience to technology sales in public sector before he joined BOXARR. Alasdair is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
