About the session
With the cost to customers of an uncompetitive market standing at £1.4 billion the CMA’s remedies (published in their final report on 24th June 2016) seek to shake up competition and increase consumer engagement. Remedies include: forced data sharing of disengaged customers; a temporary price control for prepayment customers; plus a probe into price comparison tools. Remedies, combined with smart meters and faster switching are intended to provide a better deal for consumers, especially vulnerable customers. This seminar will explore suppliers and Ofgem will set out and implement the remedies and deliver an energy market that works for active and disengaged customers, with better service and competitive prices.
