Mark Randall-Smith

Mouchel, Technical Director

Mark has 27 years’ professional experience in the Water Industry. He started his career at WRc as a clean water network modeller, moving on to activities including asset condition assessment and strategic network management. In his current role at Mouchel, he is a technical specialist in the capital maintenance, asset management and investment optimisation areas. A key element of this work involves the design and implementation of risk-based decision support tools and processes for clean water infrastructure, on which he has been working closely with SWW since 2007.
Julian Collingbourne

South West Water, Clean Water Network Planning Manager

Julian joined South West Water in 1994 and has worked in several departments during his career including GIS, Leakage, Water Strategy, Strategic Network Operations and Asset Management. Since 2007 he has been the company’s Clean Water Network Planning Manager, responsible for Business Planning (both at PR09 and PR14), maintaining annual Investment Programmes and managing SWW’s Distribution Studies Programme on a day to day basis. Julian’s current role has provided opportunities for innovative development which he has taken forward by implementing a broad range of solutions, including those illustrated in today’s presentation which were developed jointly with Mouchel
