About the session

Millions of people in the UK are gripped by fuel poverty and those not connected to the gas mains are among the worst affected. Ofgem wants gas networks to exceed their obligations for connecting more fuel poor consumers to the gas grid, where gas is the best and cheapest solution, and is calling on GDNs to connect more than the 91,000 customers.

The identification of these properties and connection of these properties can be challenging.  By taking a more collaborative approach how can energy suppliers, networks and other stakeholders protect and support the most vulnerable? What is the role of better data, what collaborative initiatives are working and how can we best connect the fuel poor to the gas grid?
