Abstract
91% of engineering companies agree that to improve the supply of engineers and technicians, more employers need to provide work experience. (IET Skills Survey 2016)
With this statistic in mind, the IET has launched a new campaign to help address the skills shortage and skills gap within engineering. We aim to help by creating a centralised hub of information for students, employers and industry, which demonstrates how constructive work experience programmes currently operate. We hope to foster more links between employers and schools & universities to create localised work experience opportunities.
