Abstract

The 3rd Forum for World STM Journals, one of the major events of the 22nd Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), was held in Beijing on August 10, 2020. The theme of this forum is "Connecting - Mutual appreciation - Co-governance - New Missions of Science and Technology Journals in the Era of Big Data", which is aimed at deepening the implementation of the "Agreement on Deepening Reform and Cultivating World-Class Science and Technology Journals". Opinions on Scientific and Technical Journals to promote the strengthening of international exchange and cooperation of scientific and technical journals in China and their integration into the global network to achieve high-quality development, invited representatives of well-known domestic and foreign publishing organizations and other representatives to participate in the forum and conduct in-depth discussions on hot topics of global scientific and technical journals. The forum was hosted by the Academic Department of the CAST Society and the CAST Society Service Center, and supported by the International Association of Scientific and Medical Publishers, The Institution of Engineering and Technology, Elsevier, and Springer-Nature Publishing Group.
