This presentation discusses: the current limitations of IEEE 1588 and the progress needed to meet telecom needs; the results of extensive testing of an IEEE 1588 system in telecom applications; performance envelope testing; equipment testing results with controlled network impairment; and field trial testing results from an extensive live network in the USA.
