As funding cuts and lack of dedicated transport technology staff impact on Local Authorities, many find it difficult to justify employing in-house Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) specialists. ITS enable the delivery of efficient, clean, safe and accessible transport, so how can Local Authorities ensure that they are making the most of ITS even if they do not have the in-house dedicated staff? This session looks at a range of suggestions for how to achieve this, and is organised by ITS United Kingdom and the IET.
