Abstract
It's no secret that healthcare data is undergoing a massive transformation, creating exciting opportunities for health data and analytics for patients and doctors. It could allow us to understand much more about the patient earlier in life, as well as pick up warning signs of serious illnesses sooner to ensure that treatment is simpler.
Yet healthcare systems are struggling to gain insights from the mass of data that’s already being created, never mind the sharp increase that may be coming.
In October 2018, at The Studio in Leeds, IET Healthcare's Think BIG Future Health & Life Science Series brought together thought leaders from across the region and country to discuss how the sector can make best use of the big data boom and how a balance can be struck between maximising the value of the data, improving healthcare outcomes and cutting costs.
IET Healthcare interviewed four of the expert speakers during the event about these topics and more. Take a look at this video to see what they had to say.
