Modelling propagation in a complex environment such as a home is an almost impossible task: however, key decisions on systems and spectrum need to be taken by the smart energy community and pragmatic guidance on 'what might work' and 'what probably won't work' is urgently needed. The speaker presents some simple propagation analyses based on a number of typical scenarios to help inform decision-making on this topic.
