It's an exciting time to be involved in the railway industry. Both passenger numbers and freight levels have recently increased significantly in what the Government has termed 'a remarkable renaissance’. A number of factors, including improvements to our existing rail infrastructure and service, congestion on our roads and the ever-contentious environmental/energy challenge, have arguably underpinned this growth.
