About the session
On 28th November 2017, a Local Authorities and Smarter Traffic Management Day was held at IET Birmingham: Austin Court, which was attended by local authority representatives from all over the UK. An event from the Department for Transport in collaboration with the IET, Innovate UK, ITS-UK, the Transport Systems Catapult and the Transport Technology Forum, the conference focused on a number of hot topics and key projects relating to traffic management and challenges such as implementing connected vehicles infrastructure, while key action points for improving roads and encouraging innovation were also discussed. In this video, visitors and organisers outline the benefits of attending and hosting an event such as this.
