Abstract

Building a connection to national electricity supply

Feeder stations and substation layout design

Protection and control

Barriers of grid connection

With electrification at the heart of a multi-billion pound programme to modernise Britain’s rail network, the IET’s 3rd Annual Seminar on Railway Electrification has never been more timely or relevant.

This year the seminar will focus primarily on the Great Western Electrification Programme, examining the work that has been achieved so far whilst providing key technical insights into the systems and engineering requirements needed to manage and implement a large scale electrification programme.
