Abstract
The shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has had no shortage of media coverage during the COVID-19 Pandemic as hospitals, care homes and many other front line workers have continues to help those in need during this challenging time.
During lockdown, many engineers and manufacturers have utilised their skills, knowledge and ingenuity to help create PPE in a more community led approach supply PPE to local organisations who's employees are more exposed to the virus.
Revathi Timms of Tri-tech 3D and 3DAvatar shows us how she went about researching and testing the various face visor designs available online for the 3D printing community before deciding on the best 3D printed face visor and setting up her own printing facility in a bid to help supply PPE to local hospitals and healthcare facilities, care homes and supermarkets.
