This presentation gives a review of developments in the application of frequency-selective surfaces (FSS) to modify the electromagnetic architecture of buildings. It discusses: FSS isolation requirements for viable frequency re-use; FSS for wideband applications; minimal-size FSS for buildings; and active FSS in buildings and phase plates.
