Dr Douglas Walsh

OptoSci Ltd, Director & General Manager

Doug was a founding member of OptoSci Ltd in 1994 and has prime responsibility for the business management, sales & commercial operations. He has over 25 years experience in the photonics industry sector covering a wide variety of product, system development and commercialisation projects in optics, optoelectronics, fibre optics and gas sensing technology. Doug also has a strong technical background, with a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and a BSc (Honours) degree in Physics from the University College Dublin, as well as having published numerous international scientific papers on photonics systems.
