About the session
In Europe, switchover from analogue to digital terrestrial television (DTT) will be completed by the end of 2012. It will free up a significant amount of spectrum, known as the Digital Dividend, which will allow new wireless communications services to be deployed. The speakers present the results of studies performed by the CEPT in defining the technical conditions and band-plans for the use of the 790-862 MHz Digital Dividend spectrum by fixed/mobile communication networks. They also provide an overview of Ofcom's work relating to the protection of DTT reception in the UK.
