Peter leads the power and carbon advisory commercial team within Pinsent Masons and 'enjoys an excellent reputation in the energy sector': Legal 500 (2013).He advises a range of clients across the energy and utility sectors, including public sector clients which are becoming increasingly focused on localised heat and power solutions. Peter often advises clients on renewable generation projects (with a particular focus on solar generation) acting for a mix of public and private sector developers on all aspects of project development through to exit (and power sale and supply arrangements). Peter also advises the public sector on area-wide community energy and 'green' tariff models (independently and in joint venture with the energy suppliers).Peter is also recognised for his understanding of energy efficiency projects having advised the public sector on the UK energy efficiency framework and is involved in writing the UK guidance on energy efficiency projects and is now being rolled out through Europe. He is also known for his experience on ECO and Green Deal projects predominantly acting for the 'big Six' utility companies on all aspects of role-out.
