    Barny leads WSP’s Sustainable Places and Energy team providing sustainable development advice for new developments and existing portfolios, and technical advice on investment in renewable energy, efficiency and management. He has worked both developer and client side looking at Investment Grade Proposals for hundreds of millions of pounds of successful investment for a range of asset management and investment clients.His technical advice and analysis on energy investments has included the full gamut of technologies, including energy efficiency, management and generation technologies, solar, biomass, LED lighting, electric vehicles, heat pumps, wind, CHP, demand side management and energy storage, from domestic to utility scale. As part of this he is leading our 360O energy analysis where we attempt to look at energy from all perspectives in one model, rather than looking at aspects in isolation.He is leader in our analysis of future energy systems and has led papers on overheating in homes, energy storage and our paper Powering Ahead – Fast-Forward to the All-Electric City, that has proven to be visionary in how our energy systems will work in cities. He enjoys and has good experience of delivering training internally and to government and private clients and is a good communicator.
