Dr Monica Florea

Monica FLOREA currently acts as Head of the European Projects Department and has been leading SIMAVI participation in various R&D&I projects, including over 40 Horizon 2020. She acted as project coordinator for several H2020 projects: EnergyShield, RED-Alert, FLOOD-Serv, BorderUAS and TeamAware. Her duties include the coordination of projects co-financed by European Commission and collaboration with national and international bodies in the framework of European Union programs. She has two degrees from University “Al.I Cuza” of Iasi, Computer Science and Finance and Banks, a Master Degree in Distributed Systems - University Aix Marseille II, PhD in Management, being also PMP and ITIL Foundation V3.0 certified, and Management of Risk Registered Practitioner. She was coordinating the NESSI Romania initiative. She was a member of the Advisory Board for Research and Development and Innovation of the National Ministry of Research since 2014. She has over 20 years of experience in ICT sector and project management.
