    Professor Irad Ben-Gal is a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering & Management at TAU. He heads the “Digital Life 2030” research partnership with Stanford University, where he held a visiting professor position, teaching “analytics in action” to graduate students. His research interests include machine learning and AI applications for industrial and service systems and statistical methods for the analysis of complex processes. He has written and edited five books, published more than 80 scientific papers and patents, and received numerous “best paper” awards.Prof. Ben-Gal is the recipient of several research grants and awards including from General Motors, Israel’s Ministry of Science and Technology, the Israel Internet Association, the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, and the European Community. Moreover, Prof. Ben-Gal has led numerous R&D projects in cooperation with top global companies such as Intel, GM, AT&T, Siemens, Kimberly Clark and Nokia. He is a co-founder and chairman of CB4 (“See Before”), a software startup backed by Sequoia Capital which provides novel predictive analytics solutions to retail and service organizations.
