Digital delivery - getting content to the consumer

This presentation is an IET tutorial, in association with WorldDMB, discussing delivery of content to the home. We are halfway along the road to full convergence and we have voice networks struggling to deliver data and data networks trying to deliver voice and video. The speaker describes how the industry proposes to deliver content for the consumer of the future, in order to realise the current means for video, audio and data delivery to the home. He describes broadband wireless systems in their role as fixed wireless access technologies. He also discusses plans for new developments (VDSL2, WiMAX 2 and DVB-T2), new network topologies, including passive optical networks, and peer-to-peer systems.
