This presentation looks at the requirements for guidelines to support the building and design of wireless-communications-friendly structures, and discusses: facing the challenge of an increasing demand for mobility and data; requirements, questions and concerns raised by property developers, project managers and architects with regard to wireless communications; an overview of the issues and challenges faced by wireless communications in buildings; coping with the dearth of design guidelines while technology is evolving quickly; defining building design solutions that are suitable for wireless communications (who should be involved?); and what to include in the guidelines, who should use them, and when to use them for wireless-friendly building design.
