IET Faraday Challenge Days, Challenge Leader

As a freelance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) communicator I offer a range of activities to engage others with these subjects. I have extensive experience in STEM education having worked with many schools, charities and organisations on a wide range of projectsHaving gained a masters degree in mechanical engineering I started working as an engineering research student and became involved with Outreach. I soon realised that I loved the challenges and rewards of working in education. Since then I have worked with many individuals and groups to promote engineering and have begun a part-time PhD in the Engineering Education Research Group at Aston University. An area of interest for me is the preservation of our engineering heritage and the use of our engineering heritage to inspire the next generation.I am a hard working, enthusiastic woman who loves to learn. I enjoy spending my free time cleaning and firing steam engines on the Talyllyn Railway, running and walking my greyhound.
