About the session

This presentation describes control strategies for an interleaved converter in an automotive application with a focus on the current-sharing between cells and the fault-tolerant capability. The control strategies are based on PI controllers and explore different possibilities and configurations for controlling the interleaved converter. The interleaved converter is designed with optimization under multi-physics constraints to find the optimal architecture with the optimal number of cells, and looking for the appropriate active and passive components technologies. The results of the interleaved converter design are used in a simulation to validate the control strategies. An experimental control is carried out to demonstrate the control feasibility.
