About the session

The presentation will outline the dynamic cyber environment in which we operate, and discuss what defines current and future cyber risks. This will lead to a methodology for measuring the cyber threat level and assessing our ability to protect against it. At the heart of the presentation is a discussion regarding how we can justify expenditure on cyber security by providing a tangible cost, benefits and risk model. It is believed that without the ability to measure the benefits of cyber security, organisations will continue to treat investment in this area as nothing more than an overhead that is base-lined at the minimum mandated level. Aimed at CIP decision makers CISOs and CIOs, the presentation should resonate across the whole CIP Community since it addresses the never ending cyber security Board level funding/risk management conundrum. The conference will deliver discussion and thought provoking presentations on many of the serious critical infrastructure protection, management and security issues and challenges facing the industry.
