About the session

Neasden Depot is London Underground's (LU) largest depot and the main depot for the Metropolitan Line. As part of a major rolling stock and infrastructure capability improvement programme, Thales Rail Signalling Solutions (TRSS) are supplying a new signalling and control system, designed around Thales LockTrac 6172 PMI computer-based interlocking. This case study develops the RAMS lifecycle followed by TRSS for the Neasden Depot Upgrade Project (NDUP) in compliance LU approval process following CENELEC standards requirements, with a focus on the cross-acceptance approach to gain approval from LU for use on its infrastructure. It also presents the principles of the verification and validation process put in place to guarantee the safety integrity of the application software.
