Cabling and Connector Issues

Around 70% of service calls are related to drop installations, and around half of those are caused by poor connection. One malfunctioning connector can have considerable impact on the network. In a typical CATV network, there can be up to 1,000 connectors after an optical node. This presentation examines the impact on network services - TV, Internet access, telephone, alarms and data services. Digital services, HDTV, increased network traffic - all require better quality products and installation.
