Toward a goal of future super-reality broadcasting systems, the STRL is promoting research on both wide-screen, high-reality video and ultra-high-definition video with clear, gravure print imaging. The goal is a 4,000 line system. This talk describes the construction of a prototype color camera with 2,000 scanning lines, as a step towards that goal.
