Abstract
This talk focuses on extrasolar planets and the search for extraterrestrial life. Since the dawn of mankind, we have wondered if we are alone in the universe. Technology is now reaching a point where we may be able to answer this question. Sophisticated telescopes are now able to look for planets around other suns (extrasolar planets) and find out if their characteristics could potentially support life. We are also able to send rovers to planets such as Mars to directly look for life and have been sending out signals into space to try to attract the attention of anything that may be listening.
