He is a leading international expert in automotive functional safety and is the UK Principal Expert to ISO/TC22/SC32/WG8 “Road vehicles – Functional Safety” which develops ISO 26262.He is also a contributor to the SAE activities J2980 (functional safety) and J3061 (cybersecurity) and project manager for the MISRA Consortium.Dr Ward provides expert support and advice to clients developing safety-related electronic systems and also acts as an independent safety assessor.
