About the session

This presentation describes the design, build and preliminary testing of a linear alternator for a reciprocating engine to be used in a heat energy recovery system, and the simulation of a power electronic unit to inject the recovered energy into the mains supply. The alternator is suitable for use with resonant prime movers such as free-piston Stirling engines and thermo-acoustic engines.
