Using a commercial foundry platform we experimentally demonstrate the first silicon photonic down-converter with electrical intermediate frequency conversion fully on-chip and identify performance scaling with evolving foundry capabilities. The subsystem demonstrates 11.2 GHz bandwidth -19.5 dB gain and a spur-free dynamic range of 92 dB•Hz2/3.
