3 Cities Transport Innovation Fund Scheme

The 3 Cities TIF partnership comprises the three City and the three County Councils of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, together with support from the Highways Agency and EMDA (the East Midlands Regional Development Agency). The team is undertaking an evidence based approach to exploring the potential for road pricing across the sub-region. The polycentric nature of the sub region with its inter-urban and urban roads presents a unique project within the currently approved TIF schemes, and the lessons learnt from the project may well come to inform the debate surrounding the potential or otherwise of a national road pricing scheme.
