About the presentation
Network Rails Thameslink Programme is set to transform the capacity and performance of the north and south rail network through London. Adding longer trains, more trains and more journey choices as well as radically improving some key station interchanges in the Capital, the programme contains a number of challenging projects. Challenging individually, put together on top of one of the busiest railways in the world they combine to form a highly complex programme of works with a myriad of interfaces.
About the speaker
Principle Future Railway Engineer, Giles Thomas. Giles Thomas is a graduate in Systems Engineering. He has spent more than 13 years working in the rolling stock supply industry in the UK, France, USA and Asia. He joined Network Rail in 2007 to help the company take a more proactive and earlier role in the specification of new rolling stock at the interface with the infrastructure. His particular focus is on Thameslink and Crossrail procurements.
